Raoul John known as Skales has reacted to quitting his label, Baseline records, as he reveals more details on his new project and future plans.
According to him, rumours of him leaving the label are not true, citing that work Is still in progress pending the time his contract expires.
“I mean I never left, honestly so am still with baseline. We
are still working till my deal is done & then we will definitely go our separate ways amicably, but definitely baseline is still home for me”.
“For what has happened then, for the fact that I went
through a lot, there was drama, a lot of people wrote me
off and all. I feel like coming back strong makes me the man of the year and the fact that a lot of people were paying attention then and even right now just made me the man of the year, moving on to my next project that am planning on dropping very soon too which is my sophomore album”.
“So definitely, I just work with my story and go through,
everybody knows that every year for me is different hurdles that I have to like cross over and have to conquer”.
Opening up on featured artistes’ on his album, he said
“When you are putting like two heavy weight people coupled with busy schedule, but the good thing about it was that I got Timaya, we are always chilling, so we did three tracks at a stretch, then Davido, it took much time and he just recorded the track once for me. Its been crazy because since we put it out, it has been getting good reviews and its still going round, so waiting for it to circulate and for people to digest it.”
